L.J. Voorhies blueprints, 1906-1953.

Blueprints, drawings, and maps of civil engineering projects in Baton Rouge and other regions of Louisiana (primarily Plaquemine, Port Allen, and Slidell). Engineering projects include sewerage and sanitary plans, highway construction, subdivisions, parks, and buildings. The blueprints include architectural drawings and engineering plans of Hill Memorial Library, Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge. Items of special interest include plans (1941, 1947) for the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola and maps (1906, 1926, 1937, 1952, 1953) showing the location of black, white, and mixed households in Baton Rouge.
